The Delhi Police Department Training Division held a Reduced Light Firearms Training Session on November 3 at 5 p.m. at the Delhi training facility.
A total of 31 officers and civilians attended the class, representing the Delhi Police, Little Falls Police, Walton Police, NYC Homeless Services Police, and Spring Creek Police departments.
The new moving target system was utilized to create realistic, moving-suspect scenarios. This system was designed and built by SUNY Delhi Mechatronics students and allows instructors to control targets both vertically and laterally.
Despite challenging weather conditions—including rain, high winds, and darkness—the training was a success.
