December 27th, 2021
2021 was a good year for the Delhi Police Training Division, despite COVID issues and the ammo shortage. Thanks to many of our club members and police officers, a lot of work was completed on the classroom. One of our goals for 2022 is to work with SUNY Delhi’s carpentry program to finish the interior and start a covered outdoor shooting area, so shooting can still be done in inclement weather.
We tested over 50 officers with the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) program. Many NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) police training courses were hosted, including three instructor development classes, firearms instructor, tactical shotgun, verbal de-escalation, patrol rifle, and many others. We have had officers from over 166 agencies attend classes in Delhi.
We saw increased membership in both our men’s and women’s shooting clubs, as well.
Thanks to all our partners for their support. We look forward to working with all those who support our training program in 2022 and welcome new participants into our classes and clubs.
