DPDTD Law Enforcement & Civilian Courses

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Full payment for all law enforcement training courses must be received no later than fifteen (15) calendar days before the scheduled start of the class. Registration is not considered complete, and a seat is not guaranteed, until all required payments have been received.

Certain courses may require a non-refundable deposit. When applicable, the amount and terms of the deposit will be clearly stated in the individual course description. Unless otherwise specified, the deposit will be applied toward the total course registration fee.

Trainees and their sponsoring agencies are responsible for reviewing the course description and ensuring that the trainee satisfies all stated prerequisites, qualifications, certifications, equipment requirements, and other eligibility conditions before registering or attending the course.

Cancellations received more than fifteen (15) calendar days before the scheduled start of the class may be eligible for a refund, less any stated non-refundable deposit.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within fifteen (15) calendar days of the scheduled class start date. This includes situations in which a trainee is unable to attend or participate because the trainee failed to satisfy a stated course prerequisite or eligibility requirement.

No refunds will be issued for participants who fail to attend, arrive too late to participate, are removed from the course for failing to meet course requirements, or leave the course before completion.

Participant substitutions from the same agency may be permitted before the start of the course, subject to all applicable eligibility, prerequisite, certification, and qualification requirements. Substitution requests should be submitted as soon as possible.

If a course is cancelled by the training provider, registered participants or their agencies will receive a refund of course fees paid or may elect to transfer the payment to a future course. The training provider is not responsible for travel, lodging, overtime, or other expenses incurred by participants or their agencies.
