The Delhi Police Training Division (DPTD) recently completed three nights of specialized firearms training for law enforcement, security and civilians. The classes were held at the Capt. James Small Firearms Training Facility, in Delhi.
Because approximately 65% of officer involved shooting occur in low light conditions, the purpose of this training was to replicate those conditions. The class ran from 5 pm to 9 pm each evening and included a standard qualifications course of fire using flashlights,a moving response drill with up/down targets, a lateral moving drill with assailant/non-assailant targets, and moving decision making drills through the mock “shoot house”.
